Thanks for a wonderful summer. Thanks for fun and safe trips. Thanks for restful days and crazy adventures. Thanks that we had the luxury of days like today, hours of wild fun at GattiTown. Thanks for healthy and happy kids, who are (mostly) excited for this school year.
Be with Nate this year, Lord. Keep him safe. Give us more crazy adventures, even though there are no older brother or sisters to spur him on. Help me give him the love and nurturing he needs right now.
Be with Sam this year. Calm him during this transition. Give M and I patience as he learns (and tests) the new boundaries of being a big Kindergartener.
Bless Elisabeth with confidence and peace. Help her embrace this time outside of Catie’s shadow and flourish as the beautiful little girl that she is.
Be with Catie, Lord. Help her to realize the smart and confident girl that You created her to be. Nurture her with Your love and bless her with the fruits of Your spirit, this year.
Thank You for M’s work ethic and intelligence and faith. Bless him with more and more opportunities to use those blessings. Keep him strong and healthy as he takes care of us.
Be with me, Lord. Give me balance between holding on and letting go. Help me to know when the kids need independence and when they need to be held tight. Help me to give them to You, Lord. Help me to trust that Your plans for them are so much more than mine. Help me trust You in everything.
