Merry Christmas Eve!
We have so much to celebrate this Christmas Eve.
The miracle virgin birth of our Savior.
The miracle of a multitude of angels, suspended in the sky, singing a gorgeous praise song.
The miracle of a star, so bright and unusual, that it attracted the wisest men.
And other miracles, those astounding today in our own small time and space…
Elisabeth is (somewhat) satisfied with the outfits I’ve crammed into her suitcase.
Sam has released his iron grip on his new Christmas presents long enough to let his twin and younger brother play with them.
And…
Nate is standing.
I repeat, NATE IS STANDING.
M shot the above video last night in the narthex of a neighborhood church. The sitting and watching was more than the boys could take, so he let them burn off some energy in the narthex.
Burn off some energy in the FORM OF STANDING!
Bored with Nate’s new trick, Sam decided to take him for a spin. The fact Nate can walk, even with his older brother harnessed to his back, is proof he has the physical skillz to walk. Now it’s just talking the strongest-willed-child-in-the-world into the notion that walking is a good idea. Or, as Sam rightly proclaims, “He’s not in the mood for walkin’.”
But for now, we’re celebrating the Christmas miracle that Nate can stand.
Praise the Lord!
