Today’s Fraudulently Asked Questions is with Catie. And we’re going old school—all the way back to July 4, 2013. Which, when you’re on vacation seems like TEN YEARS AGO.
FAQ #1: Catie, how did you celebrate America’s birthday this year?
Catie: We rode on the back of my Papa’s truck in a parade. It was really fun when we had candy and beads to throw. When we ran out, it got ugly.
FAQ #2: Wait. You RAN OUT of stuff to throw? In the middle of the parade?
Catie: More like the start of the parade. We overestimated our bead supply. It seemed like we had 7,000 beads and 30 bags of candy. It seemed like those would last us the next three days. But we had nine kids and five grown-ups throwing. So, we only had enough beads and candy for about five minutes of throwing.
FAQ #3: You said it got ugly when you ran out?
Catie: Maybe just kind of awkward. You know, since we were IN A PARADE. BUT WITH NO STUFF TO THROW.
FAQ #4: Anything you would do differently next year?
Catie: Bring about 100,000 more beads. 20,000 more bags of candy. And when we run out of stuff, we are getting out of the parade route.
