Dear Elisabeth,
You have more character, more integrity, more deep strength than anyone I know.
You are never shallow. You prefer fresh-faced to make-up, your ancient iPhone to the 15, talking to your grandparents to TikTok, baking bread to fast food. Most of all, you show undying loyalty and vicious protection of those you love.
You have a deep understanding of life that goes beyond your years, and your love for Jesus is a guiding light you carry into every situation. You’ve always been someone who sees the bigger picture and understands that life is about more than just grades and achievements. Keep that perspective close, especially when junior year is more wearying than rewarding.
This was my favorite summer together. You have always been so funny and easy to be around. But you relaxed into yourself this summer, and your sharp wit and enthusiasm shined. Every single day, you make me laugh, think deeply, consider other people’s feelings, and work harder.
