Hi, Nate…
And here we are at high school. You are so ready. You told me the other day that you were bored at the end of middle school and that wasn’t good for you. I see this. You’re at your best when you feel like you’re doing something epic, fresh, and thrilling.
High school will be all of these–and it will be absolutely fantastic. As you mature, you are becoming a young man who knows what he wants and how to get it.
I see you becoming a leader. Use your confidence, wisdom, enthusiasm, and high standards to help others. As the youngest in our family, being a leader isn’t your usual role, but I can see God forming this in you.
Every time you embrace who you are, you become a leader. I saw this when you asked to be a Gladiator, instead of a Bolt like your siblings. I see it in your dedication to soccer, even though we’re definitely a cross-country family. You have such a strong POV, which makes you someone others follow. Make sure you lead them somewhere worth going.
High school will challenge you, but you’re so ready. I love the privilege of watching you step into your next season. I’m so grateful for this front-row seat.
You’re a force, Nate. And I love being a part of your story.
