The title of this post is what I’m so looking forward to…

Age 1 to 2 for Hergenrader Child #4.
Long before any of my babies turned one, a friend told me this one of her favorite years.
If zero to one is filled the sleepless awe of watching the infant metamorphose into a toddler, one to two is filled with watching the metamorphous of that toddler’s personality.
When I think about Catie’s toddler years and especially the twins’, I remember them all as one-year-olds.
Learning to talk. Mastering walking. Discovering how grass tickles and dogs lick and each of their own unique sense of humors. Learning to do that bent-knee-waving-arms toddler dance. Embracing play. Showing favoritism for certain toys. Adhering to our family routine. Graduating from the high chair, from mushy foods, from grunting and crawling.
I hope to soak up every minute of Nate this year.
