For 41/2 years these two have had identical skeletons. IDENTICAL. The exact same size. Seriously. It’s been uncanny.
But last night, as they hugged after their baths, I noticed that Elisabeth is a smidgen taller than Sam.
My guesses why…
1. That ‘Early to bed, early to rise’ idea is true…in that it makes kids grow more. Elisabeth is the first one up in our house every day. And between Sam and Elisabeth, she’s also the first to fall asleep. Classic morning person. Maybe that makes kids grow faster?
2. Girls grow faster, everyone knows that. If you’re not sure, look back at your elementary class photos. Girls in the back because they towered over the boys. Apparently, the twins are getting there.
3. General Awesome-ness. We love all of our kids fiercely. Of course. But lately, Elisabeth has been going through this general awesome-ness phase. In the form of “Mommy! I’ve just put on some music so I can clean the playroom!” “Mommy! I set the table!” “Look, Mommy, a cup! That starts with C!” Maybe the learning/awesome growth spurt is directly correlated to actual physical growth.
It’s a guess.
