What Do You Do Without Facebook?

Hello, Friends….

Just a quick question: have any of you gotten rid of Facebook?

More and more, I think I’d be better without an account. Often, I feel like I’m pressing my nose up against the glass of other people’s lives. This takes time away from those I really love to connect with.

But I worry about what I’ll miss. Some days my only source of news is Facebook. And the connections I’ve rekindled through it have been fantastic.

Would you please share your thoughts about this?

  1. I deleted the app for Lent last year. And then cheated by accessing FB via the browser on my phone. So I’m pretty sure that’s a bad sign. I love keeping up with news from friends. I don’t so much love political rants, knowing what everyone ate for breakfast or 3 selfies per day. I appreciate FB as a tool to get to know new friends easier. It tends to help face-to-face conversations flow a little better when you know a little about what’s going on in their life. But it is addicting. And time sucking. And I would probably be a better person/parent/wife if the app wasn’t on my phone.
