A few years ago (three to be exact), the twins celebrated their second birthday with the theme Pink in the Pool! Elisabeth (Ellie back then) loved pink. Sam loved the pool.
On this eve of Nate’s birthday eve, the kids are still pink in the pool. Elisabeth still loves pink. Sam still loves the pool. Catie still loves performing. And Nate? He loves Goggy (Daddy). Although I’m guessing that an M-themed party might be awkward for the guests.

Finally, for posterity, our kids’ favorite part of the pool (well, not Nate’s, but I think we’ve covered what his favorite part is). The other kids love the SLIDE. I’m guessing that our insurance company doesn’t love that we’ve parked this crazy hand-me-down (x8) Little Tikes slide next to our pool. But, really, it’s safe! Sure it’s sun-bleached so that it looks, well, pink. And, yes, we vow to throw it away every year, but it’s just so darn awesome for the kids.
