After the driest year EVER in the history of Texas, we finally got some decent rain last night. Nate, who doesn’t really know what rain is, watched the hail and tornado-sky while holding onto our shaking Cocker Spaniel, Madison. Branches snapped, the street flooded, and the rain fell and fell.

Not unlike our lives lately.
After a wonderfully relaxing Christmas, the struggles are pouring down on us this week. Like I wrote about Friday, my beloved student died suddenly.
We have a tough situation at our church and spent hours this weekend in prayer and discussions.
My vision has been spotty for weeks. I finally called the eye doctor this morning, who insisted I come in this afternoon because the seriousness of spotty vision.
Oh my.
When it rains, it pours.
