1. Yesterday we went to Second Baptist’s Really, Really Big Christmas Show. Oh, wow. Amazing. Sam was positioned right behind a giant pillar–and never complained. He was enthralled with the whole thing. The girls used the opportunity to snuggle with their favorite older friends in the neighborhood. I cried at the beauty of the production. Even Nate sat quietly on M’s lap for long chunks of time.
2. We bought another rental house last week. Here it is, in case you want to lease it. Unlike the other rental houses, this one is pretty new and hasn’t required much work at all. Which makes it really funny that our realtor’s main selling point is that we’re LANDLORDS WHO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THE PROPERTY! since we’ve done little to nothing to this house.
3. I’m in a flair with my chronic virus. This unfortunately coincides with the kids’ Christmas break. I woke up on Friday feeling awful. After the twins’ Christmas party, I came home and collapsed on the futon in the playroom. Catie also had early dismissal. She decided to “style” the twins’ hair. When I woke up, Sam had a mohawk and Elisabeth had enough gel in her hair that she appeared bald on one side of her head. Luckily Nate slept through all of this. His wispy hair couldn’t have handled the gel-inator.
4. Our church isn’t having services on Christmas Day. Which, I’m sure you all know, is a Sunday. Is this weird to anyone else?
