These teachers are killing me.
Since when did the end of the year become a huge cry fest? Celebrations of learning complete with slide shows and sappy, sappy songs by Kenny Chesney and teary speeches about how you have to hold onto your kids and how little time we have with them.
But that’s not all…
The teachers deliver these speeches while flashing pictures of our tiny kids in August versus our big kids now in May.
Ruthless. Not a dry eye in the house.
I blame the teary assemblies on the fact that our kids’ teachers have high school aged kids of their own who are graduating this year. That seems to bring the HOLD ON TO THEM out in anyone.
Now I have to go and watch the my DVD copies of the slide shows.
And listen to Kenny Chesney.
*Ed. Note: According to Sam’s face, I may have to re-title this WINK and you’ll miss it. Crazy kid.
