Summer’s coming.
Like every summer since our kids started school five or so years ago, the idea of summer fills me with panic–and relief.
The panic? Obvious. Catie is currently at school 40+ hours a week. The twins are there about 15 hours every week. The math is simple and frightening… 3 more kids for a cumulative 70+ hours every week. What will we do? Educational excursions? Arts and crafts projects? Total anarchy? What will happen? Where will I find the energy?
And, the relief.
PJ Days with all my kids. No more shoe hunting or uniforms or spelling tests or show-and-tell crises or reading logs.
Just me and my kids and total control over our schedule. For whatever we want to do or wherever we want to go.
I think we’re going to need a bigger shopping cart.
