I took this picture the other night with my phone. Such a genuine snapshot of our lives. Nate, like all our kids have, loves an early bedtime. About 6 every night he starts to cry. While I rock him, he drops his head on my chest in a total surrender to the day.

In a few years he’ll fight sleep like his professional brother and sisters, so I’m happy for this photographic evidence of how sweet bedtime was before the battles of “one last drink!” and “please don’t leave me in my room! No! NO! NOO!”
I’ve been trying to get to bed by 9 in an effort to fight off this Epstein-Barr/Chronic Fatigue/Mono sickness. Sometimes that helps, and I feel almost normal. Other days I have an array of yucky symptoms…tingling hands and feet, numb toes and fingers, complete (COMPLETE) exhaustion, and this strange burning sensation on my face and scalp. Apparently this is all the Epstein Barr bulldozing itself through my system.
Sorry. Now it just seems like I’m complaining.
But actually I’m happy to report that I have a new doctor who has prescribed glutathione injections to help me fight off this virus. So far I’m feeling better, and I’m hopeful my body will start to make glutathione on its own and be done with this virus forever.
And I can’t stop going to bed at 9.
In a total surrender to the day.
Just like Nate.
