So, we’re trying to give our kids experiences rather than stuff for Christmas. Sam got to go to see the Huskers play Texas A&M. I took the girls to The Houston Ballet’s Nutcracker with some friends of ours.
The performance was beautiful. The girls were enthralled–especially El, who’s determined to one day BE the Sugarplum fairy.
And after the show they got the biggest thrill of all. Our friends surprised us by getting us backstage so the girls could meet the dancers. Yes, the dancers that hundreds of people had just watched were suddenly there for our meeting.
A memorable experience for sure.
And if they don’t remember it…
