For the next few months, M. will spend his Saturday afternoons DVRing/pausing/yelling at/replaying the Nebraska game.
It’s fun for the whole family.
Sam watches the Tunnel Walk on my iPad. Over and over again.
Ellie wears her cheerleading outfit–but only when appropriate according to Fashion Rules (on game days).
Catie frets about her loyalties. It’s confusing for a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve…her parents are NE fans, but her friends’ parents are just as loyal to the Longhorns and Aggies. On Game Days she lists the relative merits of cheering for each team. She debates this constantly.
To M.
Which is why he has to do so much pausing and replaying of the game.
And why it was so painful for him to watch the Longhorns beat his Huskers…all while his own flesh and blood tried to decide who to cheer for.
He was in anguish.
It wasn’t pretty.
And now I give you this adorable picture of our kids and their cousins–in a sea of red.
And blonde hair and brown eyes.
