This is not so much a picture as a snapshot of life. A capturing of the moment.
Activities include…
*Mike lifting Ellie to place the angel on top of the tree. This honor fell to her after the wobbly angel frustrated Sam to the point of tears. Right after this picture, the angel frustrated Ellie, too. Catie finally landed the thing squarely on top.
* The roaring fire and cooing baby…coziness in a snapshot.
* The Christmas tree box that Sam transformed into a fort. Stuffed with rocking chairs, pillows, and, of course, his beloved lota blankies.
* Catie picking up every. single. ornament, then gasping, then exclaiming “this one is SO SPECIAL and MY FAVORITE!” I guess this means I can’t ever purge the construction paper circles with only two foam stickers on them. Maybe we’ll have a “kid tree” next year.
Because one things for sure…that box is going to make a better fort than storage for a tree.
