We remembered to celebrate Sam and Elisabeth’s Baptism Birthday when the UPS truck delivered a new Bible from Gigi and Papa. We embraced the cooler weather and celebratory mood with Grandma in town by eating dinner on the patio.
We also embraced the chance to celebrate the twins’ birthday again. As it turns out, twins the world round, twins throughout history really do get gypped out of having their own “special” day. I’ve heard of families who celebrate the twins’ half-birthday to squeeze a little more festivities out of the occasion.
Sam and Elisabeth’s half-birthday is December 23.
Anyone with four-year-olds knows that December 23 is THE BIGGEST DAY OF THE YEAR. Because anticipation is everything with this set and December 23 is the last day when all those presents under the tree will stop taunting them.
Anyway, because of all that, we really celebrated the twins’ Baptism Birthday.
Complete with liturgical-looking candles, crystal holders, bathing suits, corn on the cob, and a memorable late-summer night.
