Love this shot of Catie fishing. Anything that makes this high energy girl seem quiet and peaceful.
And focused…we had our first parent/teacher conference and her new teacher used the “D” word…Distracted.
The same word that we’ve used to describe Catie since she was Nate’s age…although sometimes people say “observant” or “multi-tasker.”
All these mean the same thing….that Catie is exceptionally good at pouring goldfish into a bowl, while making Nate smile, while telling me a Bus Story, while scolding Ellie for the kind of cup she’s chosen, all while practicing complicated gymnast moves.
Exceptionally good until the goldfish spill everywhere and she forgets her story.
As it turns out multi-tasking is really good if you’re a mom of four…but not so good if you’re trying to learn how to read or memorize fast math facts.
And that’s why a picture of Catie focused is so nice to see.
