Calm (and binge) Before the Storm

I love this picture.
Like I’ve mentioned, there are nearly 30,000 images on my computer. I took all but maybe ten of them. Of those, there are about three of me (fuzzy math here).
And I hate two of them.
This one beautifully captures the waves…I’m just a nice little speck.
The dark sky of the brewing storm reminds me of my week. It’s a rough one. We’re still passing around the virus that has turned our lives–and intestines–upside down.
Speaking of turning intestines upside down, Friday is the big day for all my diagnostic GI procedures.
Among the procedures, my doc will perform some biopsies of my small intestine. My initial tests for Celiac disease were positive. The biopsies might confirm that.
If I Celiac disease, I won’t be eating gluten again.
And, since I’m a glutton (ha, ha) for punishment, I’m binging a bit on gluten.
I know. So responsible. I guess I was performing my own little Celiac test.
Wheat-tortillas at breakfast and lunch, crackers, homemade pumpkin muffins from our neighbor, a huge bowl of pasta for dinner.
Tonight I don’t feel so good.
Which either confirms that gluten and me don’t get along.
Or that I have the stomach-reversing virus.
