Nate has a best friend (what we call a BFF around here).
Like Nate, she gets around on all fours. She loves to hang out on the steps. Like Nate, she likes the bird’s eye view this perch provides (life on all fours can be rather…short).
When she sees one of us eating a snack, she begs for a piece. Just like Nate.
She doesn’t love it when the big kids tackle her. Neither does Nate.
Actually, this is where these BFFs have a difference of opinion. Even though Maddie loves the constant stream of food that falls from Nate’s high chair, she could do without his BFF hugs.
Soon (hopefully?) Nate will be a biped. He’ll be able to eat a snack AND travel around the house. This is only good news for Maddie. A mobile stream of treats from Nate.
Although he may also get better at those tackling hugs.
