Thank you to all of those of you who have served our country…especially Elisabeth’s Papa Mark. And Godfather Nick.
The twins celebrated Veterans Day on Wednesday with a chapel, led by their class.
Their teacher did a great job writing it, complete with the four-year-olds saying lines about freedom (E: Did you know freedom isn’t free? and S: We are free to choose what we want to be when we grow up!), waving American flags, tearjerker renditions of America the Beautiful, and the main point that we are truly free through Christ.
Not a dry eye in the house.
Elisabeth, especially, has gained a new respect for the American flag. Their teacher taught them that they could NOT drop or drag it. Our little rule follower is now on the look-out, at every car lot, restaurant, and school, for any dragging flags.
She is, as she likes to proclaim with four-year-old enthusiasm, PROUD to be an American!
