Of course not.
Nate is passionate about iPhones. iPads.
And the Keurig coffee sorter.
He’ll spend big chunks of time arranging and rearranging the coffee pods. Spinning it to admire his work. Proudly carrying it around the house.
Speaking of being proud and speaking of reading (yesterday’s post), the twins are reading!
Actually, the twins have brought those little three-word books home from preschool. If you’ve ever mothered a child this age, you know what I’m talking about. The first book is “I See Sam.” It goes something like this…”I see Sam. See Sam? See Sam! I see Sam!” for fourteen pages.
Elisabeth loves it. She read about Sam and seeing for an hour straight. She read it until the words were blurring and I would be happy to never hear about what Sam sees again.
Then it was Sam’s turn.
He started off well with, “See. See Sam?”
On the next page was the little rat showing Sam the Lion a book.
I guess that Sam (the reader, not the lion) was tired of I, See, and Sam (weren’t we all?).
Looking at the little lion and rat illustrations, he grinned and read, “The rat had a new and interesting book from the library! One about lions! He grabbed his friend the lion to show him the book!”
Punchy from so much I SEE SAM, this got me giggling.
Sam continued with his rendition of the book while Elisabeth yelled in the background, “That’s not the right words! Sam is reading the WRONG words!”
And Catie pointed out that laughing at Sam would only encourage him.
And Nate toddled over with a coffee pod for me.
