But, really. How would I ever bring an iPad to the first day of school when I was holding hands with no less than three children at all times?
So, instead of a liveblog, here’s a general recap.
Operation First Grade went well. Very well considering six of us (four of them under six-years-old) had to get out the door by eight this morning (everyone dressed and Catie all backpacked up!), drive to Catie’s new school, walk across four lanes of traffic where there was a POLICEMAN to control the minivan-sobbing-mom chaos, find Catie’s classroom, and deliver her to her new teacher.
All of those things happened. Catie did great, and the only tears were mine.
Well, and Nate’s.
But that had more to do with Sam and Ellie adjusting the sun visor on his infant carrier and bonking his head than with realizing what a big kid Catie is.
