No Spring Break Road Trips planned for these kids. That’s good news and bad news.

I do love all of my kiddos buckled into their seats (and the dog!) right where I can see them.
We all the love the snacks…those are Mardi Gras sugar cookies, decorated by a bakery in Galveston.
And we all love to travel. To see new places. To stay in new places! To pack (as I’ve blogged about before).
But there’s something about our minivan that gets the kids talking. Constantly. And I love to hear what they have to say.
Unless they’re just saying words (or noises–looking at you, Nate) to be heard.
Interrupting each other.
Yelling nonsense words, or stories, only for the attention.
I can already hear one of them confiding to a future best friend…”I liked being part of a big family, but it was hard because everyone talked at once.”
Oh, yes. Yes, they do.
Especially on road trips.
Which is not the reason we’re staying home this Spring Break.
But may or may not be the reason M and I offered them all cookies after bucking them into their car seats for the return trip from Galveston.
Full mouths= quiet(er) road trip.
