Hello.
This has been an interesting week.
It’s been a really hard week.
And it’s only Wednesday. But, since this is a difficult and hard week, (one with the kids in school Tuesday through Thursday), it feels like Monday.
Or, perhaps, Friday.
I don’t even know anymore.
I don’t know what I can say about what’s happening at our church.
Or what this summer will be like. Or what I even hope for this summer.
BUT! Here’s what I do know.
The Air Conditioner in my car is out! I know!
91 degrees in the shade, four kids, and we have no AC.
It’s all so retro and totally reminds me of my childhood.
We drive around with all the windows down.
When we pull up next to people at stoplights, we can hear their conversations (if they’re retro like us and roll down their windows.)
And, since we live in the fourth largest city in the country, we take highways a lot.
That means we drive around with the loud wind blowing trash from underneath the seats and into our faces.
I can’t hear the kids in the backseat.
Our sweaty thighs stick to the seats.
And, somehow, it’s okay.
Because broken AC is a fixable problem. A retro problem, that’s kind of fun.
Oh. And Nate took this picture with my phone, while we were stopped at a stoplight.
The windows were down and I wore a hat to keep my sweaty hair off my neck.
Have a great Wednesday! Or Monday! Or Friday!
