Four Questions about the Hergenrader Summer so far…
Question ONE!
True or False…
These kids are all gathered on the couch because we’re having summer school! They’re learning to write their names (twins). They’re learning multiplication (Catie). They’re learning not to hit their mother (Nate).
(Answer: False. The kids need to learn those lessons. Unfortunately they are gathered together because they share an interest in Cailou. And I share an interest in them not whining about learning to write or learning multiplication. And an interest in them not hitting me.)
Question TWO!

These kids’ mouths are open because…

B. They are showing off their NO CAVITIES (proclaimed at their recent dentist appointments)

(Answer: C. To be Hergenrader, is to speak. All. the. time. I realize now that the big kids got all their talking out at school. Because, wow, can they ask some questions. And tell some looonnng jokes. And stories. Except Nate. This almost-two-year-old is very fond of the word “NO!”

Short Answer…
So far this summer these kids have…
(Answer: Gone to a SUPER FUN camp at Christ Memorial that they all loved–except Nate who yelled “NO!” a lot. Spent approximetly 7,000 hours in the pool. Done some multiplication and name-writing lessons…in between the pool and Cailou. Eaten nearly all their meals at restaurants or friends’ houses. Earned tickets for the Hergenrader Treasure Box. I’m not sure what else…did I mention the pool?)
