Guess One…
Elisabeth, NASCAR lover, embraces her passion for both the checkered flag AND the combination of yellow and red and creates an outfit out of the two. To fully celebrate the NASCAR culture, she sports peroxide-blonde hair and smudged black eyeliner. And a belt buckle the size of Texas. And a big bowl of sugar.
Guess Two
On one of her potty stops (this one at Orange Leaf), Elisabeth trades clothes with a country music singer. You know, one of the flamboyant ones. One who has blonde hair and heavy eye make-up. And likes tacky monster truck outfits. The singer is unhappy with the Old Navy dress and Hello Kitty! underwear she got in the trade. Elisabeth isn’t sure what to think. So she’s eating a big bowl of sugar.
Guess Three
Elisabeth has a dance recital next weekend in which she’s tapping away to Speed Racer. Her (non-stage) mommy is a bit baffled by four-year-olds tapping to classic cartoon themes in garish outfits. Her (non-stage) mommy is also baffled by four-year-olds in make-up. BUT is learning a bit each year–and has agreed to a bit on portrait day. And then submerged her confusion and unrest in a big bowl of Orange Leaf. And got some for the girls.
I can’t believe this is Elisabeth. I had to show Kenny the pic. He had to look twice. Great make-up job, back stage mom 🙂 It’s funny, I was just ranting about dance recitals and then I came to your blog. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like you do.
