1. First of all, I hope your weekend is as fun as wearing rainbow-striped leggings while rollerblading in the bright sunshine. Really. Especially if your life has been a bit rainy day and khaki uniform-ish.
2. I have a flight today, so, naturally, my ear is killing me. Actually it’s been about three days of throbbing pain. Unfortunately, getting ready for the trip has taken so much time that I haven’t really dealt with my ear. Except to think every thirty seconds or so…”I wonder who’s jamming an ice pick into my ear?” And to complain about it to you. I’m sure the drop in air pressure on the airplane will do wonders for my congested ear.
3. Speaking of rollerblades, Elisabeth wants to rollerblade and dance for her school’s talent show. This is awkward because Elisabeth can not, actually, rollerblade. We’re attempting distraction…which is hard since Sam is doing his Tae Kwon Do moves in the talent show. Fingers crossed for no meltdowns on the big day!
4. In the last 24 hours, we’ve met with all of our kids’ teachers. Here are the words they used to describe every one of our children…. “sweet, caring, empathetic, distractible, huggy, easily sidetracked, and fun.”The teachers’ descriptions were so consistent that you gotta think we’re doing something right. Or wrong.
5. My ear still hurts.
