Sam’s answering the Fraudulently Asked Questions today about summer. And his little brother, who is both Sam’s summer nemesis and best friend.

FAQ #1: Fun picture, Sam. What are you doing with your brother and sisters?
Sam: Driving the remote-controlled boat I got for my birthday. It was fun to show off for my sisters. They get it. Not my little brother, though.

FAQ #2: He doesn’t understand how a remote-controlled boat works?
Sam: He doesn’t understand how playing together works. Here’s what he thinks: whatever Bubba has, I get. Which is just wrong on so many levels. I earned this boat by HAVING A BIRTHDAY. This is not a time for sharing. But try to explain that to Nate. Instead of saying, “You’re a good driver, Bubba.” He’s all like, “Bubbbaaaaa. I neeeeeed thattttttttt!” Seriously. Everything I touch, he wants. He is obsessed with me and my stuff.

FAQ #3: It sounds like he really looks up to you. Do you feel like you’re a role model to him?
Sam: Looks up to me? Role model? What are you talking about? He’s two. He doesn’t even know what those things mean. He does know that my toys are awesome. He also knows how to scream if he doesn’t get them. Seriously. Five minutes after I opened the presents from my party, Nate was holding all of them. I was like, “What happened to my stuff?!”

FAQ #4: What did you do?
Sam: I got my stuff back. And then I hid it. Every birthday present I got is now hidden someplace in our house. A high place because my little brother is short. The only bad part is, I can’t really find them either. But that’s okay, as long as my brother isn’t carrying around my stuff and playing with my new Legos, I’m okay not playing with them either.
