Today’s FAQ is with Sam, who loves to help in the kitchen  play around with small electronics.
We’re talking about yesterday’s cookie disaster.
It wasn’t pretty.
FAQ #1: Sam, it looks like you’re chopping some pecans. What are you making?
Sam: Paleo Breakfast Cookies! I think. Or banana bread. Or pecan pie. Look, I’m not really sure. I just really love grinding stuff in that chopper. And using my mom’s mixer on speed 10. But my favorite is the Vitamix. You can make anything into a smoothie with that thing.
FAQ #2: How did your pecan baked goods turn out?
Sam: Not so well. We used pecans instead of walnuts in a cookie recipe my mom put on her blog. But the cookies were terrible. My mom spit them out. My sisters said they were going to throw up. Everyone except my little brother hated them. He ate six.
FAQ #3: Really? Your brother ate six disgusting cookies? How could that be? Maybe they weren’t so bad?
Sam: Oh, they were so bad. Elisabeth got a little carried away with the baking soda. Instead of just putting a spoonful in, she dumped in a whole bunch. The cookies tasted like baking soda. Which, in case you haven’t tasted it by itself, is really gross.
FAQ #4: She dumped in baking soda? It sounds like cooking with your mom doesn’t always go that well.
Sam: This is exactly why I stick to only using that chopper. And all the other kitchen machines. My little brother really wants to try the chopper, but I don’t think that’s a great idea. I mean, he likes baking soda cookies. Clearly, his judgement cannot be trusted.
