Today’s Fraudulently Asked Questions is with all the Hergenrader Kids about the Week O’ Christmas Programs. As an audience member, I heard the rave reviews from the huge crowds. “Awesome!” “The kids did so well!” “How did they learn all those songs?”
Now to hear from the stars themselves…
FAQ #1: Catie, great picture! How did it feel delivering your lines to hundreds of people?
Catie: Hot! I have issues with any clothing that touches my arms or legs. Sleeves and tights and long pants make me feel like I’m about to spontaneously combust. But if you add a long polyester robe, headpiece, and bright lights to the mix? I could’ve used a bath halfway through, just to wash off some of the sweat.

FAQ #2: What about you, Sam? You’re known to be sensitive to clothing on your arms and legs. How was the stage temperature for you? You did seem to be enjoying yourself up there. Nice enthusiastic singing!
Sam: You know what I was doing? Singing SO LOUD and dancing SO MUCH to scare the devil away from our songs. I thought it made total sense, but my teacher was kind of confused by the whole thing. She suggested I might want to be less distracting by just standing still.

FAQ #3: Speaking of standing still, Elisabeth, did you have a little stage fright up there?
Elisabeth: I was smiling! Yes, my teeth were clenched. Yes, my eyes were sort-of as big as halos. Yes, I might have looked like a shepherd in the headlights. But I was smiling!

FAQ #4: What about you, Nate? You seemed to be a combination of all your siblings: scared to death, hot and fidgety, and singing with all your heart. How was your first Christmas Program Season on stage?
Nate: This is a season? You mean this is happening again next year? I don’t think I can handle another week on stage. Ever again. All that pressure to sing loud! to sit still! and to wave your crown! Next year I’m watching these Christmas programs from Daddy’s lap. Everyone knows he’s got Temple Run on his phone and Tootsie Rolls in his pocket.
